Vaqif İbrahimov (tam adı: Vaqif İbrahimov Rza oğlu; 9 may 1947, Cəhri, Naxçıvan rayonu) — AMEA-nın müxbir üzvü (2017), Fizika-riyaziyyat elmləri doktoru,[1] Azərbaycan Respublikasının əməkdar müəllimi (30.09.2009).[2]
Vaqif Rza oğlu İbrahimov 9 may 1947-ci ildə Naxçıvanın Cəhri kəndində anadan olmuşdur. O, hesablama riyaziyyatı sahəsində tanınmış alimdir. Onun tədqiqat sahəsi yüksək tərtib törəmələrdən istifadə edən Obreşkov tipli çoxaddımlı üsullardan və bu üsulların adi diferensial, inteqral və inteqro-diferensial tənliklərin həllinə tətbiqindən ibarətdir.
Fizika-riyaziyyat elmləri doktoru V.R.İbrahimov irəliyə qaçma, ekstrapolyasiya və interpolyasiya üsullarını ümumi formada tədqiq etmək məqsədi ilə Obreşkov tipli dayanıqlı k- addımlar üsulunun dəqiqlik tərtiblərinin ən böyük qiymətlərinin hesablanılması üçün bir neçə düstur qurmuş və bu düsturların effektivliyini göstərmişdir. O, irəliyə qaçma üsullarının istifadəsi üçün proqnoz-korreksiya tipli üsullar qurmuş və bu üsulların yığılması üçün kafi şərtləri müəyyənləşdirmişdir. Dayanıqlı irəliyə qaçma üsullarının digər üsullara nisbətən daha dəqiq olması V.R.İbrahimov tərəfindən isbat olunmuş və bu şərtləri ödəyən konkret üsullar qurulmuşdur. O, Riçardson ekstrapolyasiya üsulundan bir dəfə istifadə etdikdə, çoxaddımlı üsulun dəqiqliyinin artmasının yuxarı sərhəddini müəyyənləşdirmiş və bu məqsədlə üsulun xətası üçün xüsusi asimptotik münasibət almışdır. Daha dəqiq üsulların qurulması üçün V.R.İbrahimov hibrid üsulların qurulmasını təklif etmiş, birinci və ikinci tərtib adi diferensial tənliklərin həlli üçün hibrid üsullar qurmuş və onları tədqiq etmişdir.
V.R.İbrahimov Volter tipli inteqral tənliklərin həlli üçün hər addımda inteqral nüvəsinin sabit sayda hesablanmasından istifadə edən çoxaddımlı üsullar qurmuş və bu üsulların yığılması üçün kafi şərtlər tapmışdır. Bu üsulların Volter tipli inteqral tənliklərin həllində yeni istiqamət olduğunu nəzərə alaraq,o, çoxaddımlı və hibrid üsulların kəsişməsində yerləşən üsullar qurmuş və bu üsulları Volter tipli inteqral və inteqro-diferensial tənliklərin həllinə tətbiq etmişdir.
V.R.İbrahimov xüsusi test tənliklərinin köməyi ilə Volter tipli inteqral və inteqro-diferensial tənliklərin həlli üçün geniş dayanıqlıq oblastına malik üsullar qurmuşdur.
Həmçinin simmetrik üsullar qurmuşdur, hansi ki, onlari simmetrik sərhədli Volter tipli inteqral tənliklərin həllinə tətbiq etmişdir. Daha yüksək dəqiqliyə və genişlənmiş dayaniqliq oblastina malik ,dayaniqli üsullarin qurulması və onların ADT-in,Volter tipli inteqral və inteqro-diferensial tənliklərin həllinə tətbiqi məqsədi ilə V.R.İbrahimov hibrid üsullardan və irəliyə qaçma üsullarindan istifadə etmişdir.
